PLAY 1 FOR ME

Brent graduated from Bristow High School in 2004. Following graduation, he attended the University of Central Oklahoma then joined the US Air Force in 2008. He fell in love and married the love of his life, Kirsten in June of 2010. In September of 2011, he served his country in Iraq. In December of 2013, the Lord blessed him and Kirsten with their first miracle, Kaydence Mila and with a second miracle, Zoë Jane born in December 2015. Brent was killed by a drunk driver on May 9, 2015 while on his way home from a business trip.­  
     Brent is known for his beautiful blue eyes, infectious laugh, his teasing nature and his compassionate, loving heart as well as his Christian faith and very competitive spirit.  His passion for sports, especially football, carried on throughout his life as he continued to play until he left us. He spent many hours on this playing field as a wide receiver and defensive back, with this picture being his last time in his Pirate purple and playing on the turf he loved so much during the first Bristow alumni game he organized in March of 2012. Brent was buried in this jersey he loved to play in.
     Brent was blessed with many accomplishments in the time the Lord allowed him to be here with us.  But the greatest decision he made was giving his heart to God. It is this legacy he would most want remembered of him by his family and friends. It was that decision that holds his family together as they look to the future with great anticipation of seeing him soon. The advice from his daddy his senior year, that he left for his then future daughters, at his All-Sports banquet said, “Try as hard as you can in everything you do because when it’s all over, you don’t want to have any regrets.” He lived life this way. Run the race of life to win the crown of life that only Jesus can give. Keep the faith because God wins.
